This year for my New Year's Resolution I decided that I wanted to learn to crochet. I first explored the art of crochet when I was in middle school, but I never really enjoyed it or got the hang of it.
Thanks to my beautiful and intelligent sister-in-law, Jemima, I have learned once again. She is an excellent teacher. Here are some of the new things I've crocheted.
Prayer Shawl
For the prayer shawl I used a pattern from RAKJ Patterns:
Shell Hat
For this shell hat I used a tutorial found on youtube:

Cowl
I bought the pattern for this cowl here from Long Beach Designs.

I'm currently working on fingerless mittens. I've completed one, but haven't started the other yet. On another note, I had 4 snow days from school! It was amazing! Here is a picture of Walker in the snow.

These look great!! Trust me it's your own innate talent, not my teaching. =)
I can't wait to see your fingerless gloves - I made some for Tricia last year, and they came out great. I need to dig up that pattern....
Alaina, you are amazing!
Thanks, ladies. :)
Jemima, Walker got ahold of my first finished glove so now there is a hole in it. Once I finish the other one, I'm going to try to repair it. :(
OMG... I love the shirt on Walker. I am a little bit of a "chanimal mom" myself. CHANIMAL is the word my sister in law made up. CHILDREN/ANIMALS LOL
Alayna, thanks for stopping by! :)
Chanimal- that is hilarious! Yep, Walker is my baby! My boyfriend calls her my furry baby.
